Dr. Janet Rollins, Assistant Professor of Chemistry
at the College of Mount Saint Vincent
The study will focus on the impact of anticancer drugs on fertility and sperm development. Using fruit flies, Dr. Rollins and an elite group of student researchers will develop their own research theories. Next summer, one Mount student will attend Brown University to continue the same research, fully funded by Brown. The grant is provided for three years, offering this opportunity to three Mount students.
“People all over the country are becoming more aware of the College of Mount Saint Vincent,” says Dr. Rollins. “The research funding we are receiving trains quality students and gives them a sense of opportunity and empowerment.”
