College of Mount Saint Vincent Department of English Presents “Riddled with Epiphanies: DeLillo, New York”
2/23/2012 - Riverdale, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Department of English presents “Riddled with Epiphanies: DeLillo, New York,” a two-day literary conference based on conversation on Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 20, 2012.

The conference is the second literary international conference devoted to Bronx native and esteemed American author Don DeLillo. The conference is based on conversation. Presenters’ papers will be circulated and summarized during the conference. The atmosphere will be one of intellectual play and collaborative inquiry that has long been associated with the sciences, according to Mount Assistant Professor of English and conference organizer Dr. Jacqueline Zubeck. By foregoing the traditional model of 20-minute presentations, the conference organizers aim to foster a lively, fruitful dialogue about DeLillo’s work and inspire further scholarship.

Other festivities include a “DeLillo, New York,” tour featuring Arthur Avenue and Great Jones Street, and a staged reading of Love-Lies-Bleeding. The cost is $100 for presenters and $65 for guests and graduate students.
