Annual Student Events

There are hundreds of events taking place on campus each year. Here is a sampling of those that have become regular traditions.

The Mass of the Holy Spirit
Sponsored by Campus Ministry, celebrates the start of the academic year. All students are invited to attend.

Block Party
Sponsored by Student Government, is a street fair held each fall on Marillac Lawn, weather permitting.

Club Fair
Sponsored by Student Government and the Office of Student Activities, Leadership and Commuter Life, is held early in the Fall semester. Each club and/or organization is represented and is available for questions. New members are welcomed to all clubs.

Family Day Mass and Brunch
Sponsored by the Student Government and Campus Ministry each Fall, offers an opportunity for all students to invite their parents and siblings for a day on the campus.

Founder’s Day
A College-wide event held each April to recognize the contributions of the Sisters of Charity to the life and mission of the College.

200 Nights
A reception sponsored by the Senior Class for seniors, marks the last 200 days before Commencement and the beginning of the big countdown.

100 Nights
A reception sponsored by the Senior Class for seniors, marks the last 100 days before
Commencement and the beginning of the big countdown.

May Day Cruise
Sponsored by the freshman and sophomore classes, is a dinner and dancing cruise around the island of Manhattan held every year in the beginning of May.

Siblings’ Weekend
Sponsored by Student Government, a weekend of special activities for brothers and sisters of full time students.

Spring Fest
Sponsored by Student Government, is an outdoor event welcoming the warmer weather with music, food, and game booths.

Student Affairs Awards Reception
Sponsored each Spring by the Office of Student Affairs to recognize student leaders and volunteers.

Student Government Banquet and Inductions Ceremony
Sponsored by Student Government, is an annual end of the year dinner that recognizes students involved with Student Government and to induct newly elected Student Government officers for the following year.

Senior Send Off
Is sponsored by the junior, sophomore and first year classes in honor of the Senior Class to thank them for their help and friendship.

Dolphin Varsity Awards Ceremony
Sponsored by the Athletic Department, is a spring event at which athletes are honored for their varsity achievements.

Senior Days
Those following exams and prior to Commencement, are highlighted by picnics, farewell gatherings, trips, the Commencement Ball, the Awards Ceremony and the Senior Reception. The week ends with a Commencement Mass and Commencement Exercises.
