Mount Saint Vincent Women's Basketball freshman Lauren Percodani was named the HVWAC Player of the Week after leading the Mount to a huge conference win over Saint Elizabeth on Saturday. The Dolphins return to action on Thursday night when they host USMMA-Kings Point at 7:00 p.m.
Mount to one of its biggest wins of the 2006-07 campaign, a 70-53 triumph over Saint Elizabeth on Saturday. With the win, the Dolphins improved to 3-0 in HVWAC play and is now one win away from capturing the HVWAC Regular Season Championship.

Percodani was instrumental to the win, scoring a game-high 17 points and adding seven assists, four rebounds, and four steals as the Mount led by only five points at halftime, but rallied to extend the lead to more than 20 in the second half. Percodani had one of the finest shooting days of her career, converting seven of her nine field goal attempts. During the week that included close losses to Skyline Conference powerhouses USMMA-Kings Point and Mount Saint Mary, Percodani averaged 11 points, 6.7 assists, three rebounds and three steals. For the 2006-07 season, Percodani is fourth on the team in scoring with 9.8 points per game, and her 62 assists leads the Dolphins and puts her among the very best in the Skyline Conference in that category.

Mount Saint Vincent is currently 6-6 overall (after a 2-10 start to the season a year ago) and returns to action on Thursday night when they host USMMA-Kings Point at 7:00 p.m. USMMA defeated the Dolphins 70-66 on Jan. 8.
