Graduate Admissions
At the College of Mount Saint Vincent, we try to make the admissions process as straight forward and simple as possible. Below are some tips to help you navigate the admissions process to one of our graduate programs. You may also submit an online inquiry.
  1. Familiarize yourself with the admissions requirements for the M.S. in Urban and Multicultural Education or the M.S. in Nursing. In reviewing applications, the admissions committee look at a variety of criteria, ranging from grade point average to work experience.
  2. Visit. We are confident that you will love our campus, and we will have the opportunity to get to know you better than we would from just reading your application. We will be hosting an open house and a number of information sessions throughout the fall.
  3. Complete and submit an application form. Call 718-405-3322 to request an application packet, or for additional admissions related information.
  4. Submit two letters of recommendation on the forms provided in the application packet. One letter should be from a supervisor; the other should be from a professor.
  5. Have your college(s) forward your official transcript(s) to the School of Professional & Continuing Studies, 6301 Riverdale Ave., Administration Building, Suite 304, Riverdale, NY 10471-1093.
  6. Explore graduate student loan programs by contacting the Office of Financial Aid. If you are planning on applying for need-based aid, we recommend that you begin the application process at least four months before you plan to start classes.
  7. Do you still have questions? Visit our FAQ page. Or contact the School of Professional & Continuing Studies at 718-405-3322.
