TRIO provides the following programs to assist students with academic and professional growth:

• Academic Advocacy
  This program provides students with academic counseling and support to help them excel in academic course work.
• Leadership Development
  Students are encouraged to participate in class forums allowing them to learn leadership skills, activity and program development, and collaboration.
• The Mentor/Buddy Program
  This program utilizes upper class students who are carefully selected and matched with incoming freshmen to assist with transition and issues associated with entering college.
• Computer and Technology Program
  The TRIO Lab provides students access to state-of-the-art computers, connected to the Internet and printers. Individualized assistance is provided for the various computer software programs offered in the TRIO Lab.

Incoming first-year students benefit from our TRIO Summer Program 

The TRIO Student Support Services Program (SSS) has provided educational, professional and cultural enrichment to its participants since 1997 through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The program enhances the academic performance, retention, and graduation rates of its participatns through comprehensive support services to selected low-income, first-generation and/or disabled college students.
