Annual Fund

The Annual Fund benefits every aspect of the College. Unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund ensure the College possesses the resources necessary to provide an exceptional education and transformative opportunities to students. The Annual Fund enhances life and learning at the College through scholarships and financial aid grants for deserving students, underwriting the Elizabeth Seton Library’s collection of publications and online resources, funding student life and athletic programs, and maintaining the College’s historic buildings and grounds.

The Annual Fund is impactful because of the generous and sustained support of the College’s alumnae/i and friends. One out of every seven Mount Saint Vincent graduates contributes, and in the 2013-14 academic year, supporters propelled the Annual Fund to a new high with gifts totaling $920,348. This reflects the third consecutive year of record setting growth.

The leadership of volunteers such as Class Fund Agents, members of the President’s Associates, and the G.O.L.D. giving society, is integral to the Annual Fund.

Class Fund Agents

Class fund agents are the primary fundraisers for each class. Fund agents write letters and make phone calls to motivate their classmates to support the Mount. They are a critical part of the College’s fundraising efforts. If you wish to serve your talents as a Class Fund Agent, contact the Office of Alumnae/i Relations and Giving.

The President’s Associates

Established in 2001, the President’s Associates giving society is comprised of donors committed to giving $1,000 or more to the College each year. Their importance to the College cannot be overstated. Last year, President’s Associates represented only 11% of the total number of Annual Fund donors, while their contributions totaled $645,000, 70% of Annual Fund revenue.

Every year, the President’s Associates make the conscious decision to invest in the College’s programs, mission, and most importantly, students. They know that a Mount education has the power to transform a life, and that belief—that generous conviction—is felt and appreciated by every person on campus.

Members of the President’s Associates receive an invitation to the annual Ad Laudem Dei awards presentation, the College Christmas Party, and the annual Student Research Symposium.

The President’s Associates Council, chaired by Mary Frances Barrett ’70, are alumnae/i who proudly serve the College in a special way by encouraging other donors to participate at the President’s Associates giving level. The College is grateful to all the members of the Council:

G.O.L.D. – Graduates of the Last Decade

G.O.L.D. is a new giving society recognizing individuals who will steward the Mount’s traditions of service and philanthropy into the future. Membership is open to graduates of the last decade who make a significant gift to the College, relative to their graduation year. G.O.L.D. membership and incentives are conferred on individuals who make gifts at or exceeding the following levels.

G.O.L.D. membership status is offered to young alumnae/i making leadership level gifts, contributing at least $100 annually during the 1st through 4th years after graduation, and at least $500 annually during the 5th through 9th years after graduation. G.O.L.D. Associates receive all the incentives listed above plus invitations to all the President’s Associates events. Join by making a gift or contact the Office of Alumnae/i Relations and Giving to participate in the G.O.L.D. leadership team and engage others in the society.
