Annual Mount Saint Vincent Awards Ceremony Highlights 2014-2015 Academic Year

Riverdale, N.Y. – The University of Mount Saint Vincent’s Office of Student Affairs hosted the annual Student Affairs Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 4, 2015. The event acknowledged 25 student leaders, volunteers, clubs, and organizations, for accomplishments during the 2014-2015 academic year.

More than 100 students, faculty, and staff from the Athletics Department, the Office of Campus Ministry, the Office of Housing and Residence Life, and the Office of Student Activities, Leadership, and Commuter Life, attended the event.

  • Advisor of the Year – Dr. Mariela Wong, Model United Nations
  • Outstanding Organization Event – Class of 2018, Anime Video Club 2k15 Tournament
  • Community Developer of the Year – Steffany Almanzar ’16
  • Rookie of the Year – Maria Rivera ’16 and Sarah Peterson ’17
  • Scholar Athlete of the Year – Kylee McGrane ’17, Karl Schmitt ’16, and James Wilkins ’15
  • Outstanding Organization of the Year – Dolphin Dolls
  • Outstanding Club Leader of the Year – Adam Derouin ’15
  • Resident Assistant of the Year – Briggette Parra ’15
  • Platinum Award – Emily Petrillo ’16
  • Outstanding Servant Leader Award – Jesilyn Perez and Michelle Dela Paz ’16
  • Outstanding Student Volunteer Award – Owen Smith ’18
  • Community Outreach Volunteer of the Year – Kelly Bloom ’15, Dance for PD and Joseph Senisi ’16, Leake & Watts
  • Emerging Male Leader Award – Damarcus Williams ’18
