After Stevens stormed through the opening game, the Mount rallied during the second game and made it close, thanks to the inspired play of Lopez and Predergast, who had all three of her service aces during the second game. However, the Mount ultimately became the sixth Skyline team in six matches to get swept by the defending Conference Champions.
For Stevens, freshman Summer Hamilton (San Diego, CA/Bishop’s School) had a team-high seven kills, while sophomore Dawn Herring (Prince Frederick, MD/Calvert HS) added five kills, and junior Rachel Ostroff (N. Miami, FL/Miami Country Day) had a match-high 19 digs.
Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 22 for their final Skyline Conference match of the 2005 season, a road match against Centenary at 1:00 p.m.
