Dauphinais named HVWAC Player of the Week for Women’s Volleyball
Gentsch, Predergast earn Skyline Conference Honor Roll
10/12/2005 - (Riverdale, NY) – Mount Saint Vincent senior Outside Hitter Jacqui Dauphinais (North Yarmouth, MA/Dennis-Yarmouth Regional HS) became the second straight Dolphin to earn Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC) Player of the Week this week after a tremendous effort in leading the Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Sarah Lawrence on Oct. 13. The win snapped a three-match losing streak for the Mount, and marked Dauphinais’s finest performance of the season. The outside hitter recorded 12 kills, five service aces, and had an incredible .417 hitting percentage for the match.

Also winning Conference awards for Mount Saint Vincent this week were Women’s Soccer sophomore Katherine Gentsch (Staten Island, NY/Curtis) and Women’s Volleyball junior Roxanne Predergast (Center Moriches, NY/Westhampton Beach HS), who were both named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll. Gentsch scored twice during a 5-0 Mount Saint Vincent win over Marymount on Thursday. Gentsch leads Mount Saint Vincent this season with eight goals and 18 points.

Predergast was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll for the fourth consecutive week after averaging 2.17 kills, 2.50 digs, and 0.83 service aces per game during a 2-1 week for the Mount. Predergst is in the midst of a sensational junior season as she currently leads the Mount in kills, attack percentage, and digs, and is fifth in service aces.
