“This is a win-win for our Department and for our varsity athletes as well,” Ingram said. “In Pat Yannarelli, we have a personable and hard-working individual who is going to do a great job in helping to make our athletics contests an event to be enjoyed by participants and spectators alike. This is also a great day for our Men’s Lacrosse program as having Pat in our department on a full-time basis should do wonders for our program. Pat has done a fantastic job as a part-time Head Coach here, and I expect the same performance in this full-time position.”
During the 2004-05 academic year, Yannarelli steered the Mount Men’s Lacrosse program to varsity status after two years as a Club program, and the Mount finished the 2005 season with a 7-8 record. Yannarelli also worked for three years as a Warehouse Supervisor for Lax.com. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Western New England College for one year, and an Assistant Boys Lacrosse Coach at Bergen Catholic High School in New Jersey.
Yannarelli, a 2001 graduate of Greensboro College, was the team MVP during his Senior season, and currently lives in Hawthorne, New Jersey with his wife, April.
