The College of Mount Saint Vincent is conducting a search for the position of Director of Human Resources.
The Director of Human Resources provides leadership on employee benefits, development, performance management, recruitment, legal compliance, compensation, and employee relations. The Director creates and implements College policies and procedures, advises the organization on operational matters and serves as a change agent. The Director also serves as the Title IX liaison for employees. This position reports to the Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer.
Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations; including Title IX and FERPA
Skilled in applying human resources and management principles Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action, meeting required
schedules and timelines Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, students
and others contacted in the performance of duties
Knowledge of organizational development, strategies, and processes Excellent oral and written communication skills together with excellent listening skills
Familiarity with SunGuard Banner HR Systems is preferrred
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred
Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources, preferrably in a higher education setting
PHR/SPHR or other appropriate professional certification preferred
