The College of Mount Saint Vincent invites applications for the position of Director of Undergraduate Admission.

Reporting to the Vice President/ Dean of Admission and Financial Aid, the
Director of Admission will implement the College’s recruitment plan to identify,
recruit and enroll a talented first-year class. She/he will work collaboratively with the campus community

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, and continued training and development, for a talented staff of six (6) professional admission counselors to meet enrollment objectives
• Responsible for managing admission office operations including supervision of staff, on-campus and off-campus events, communication plans, social media, admission website and scholarship review
• Responsible for managing the admission selection process, including international admission
• Responsible for a local recruitment territory and all related recruitment activities including: representing the College at college fairs and high school visits; prospective-student interviews, file evaluation and follow-up
• Work closely with the Office of Financial Aid on communicating and assisting prospective students with financial aid policies and procedures
• Responsible for working with faculty, administrators and athletic coaches to assist in the recruitment of undergraduate students.
• Develop and plan appropriate follow-up techniques for inquiries and applications
• Monitoring of the admission office operating budget
• Assist the Vice President/Dean of Admission and Financial Aid on admission-related projects, including the development of marketing materials, e-communication and recruitment plans
• Other duties as assigned


• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
• At least five (5) years of progressive experience in the field of college admission
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for a Catholic, liberal arts, college education.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, delegate responsibilities and motivate staff
• Knowledge of web-based recruitment activities
• Ability to run reports and analyze enrollment data to make decisions
• Working knowledge of financial aid policies and procedures
• Demonstrated successful supervisory experience.
• SCT Banner experience highly preferred.
