Mount Saint Vincent Joins National Debate on Teacher Preparation       
President Supports Faculty Who Sign "Open Letter to Obama" Slated for Washington Post   

1/30/2015 - Charles L. Flynn, Jr., president of the College of Mount Saint Vincent, has declared his support of an initiative to challenge the White House’s proposed guidelines for teacher preparation. The “Open Letter to President Obama and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan,” penned by Kevin G. Basmadjian, Dean of the School of Education at Quinnipiac University, is being circulated to deans of teacher education programs across the country, and will appear as an op-ed in the Washington Post next week.
