Financial Aid Dates and Deadlines
Students are strongly encouraged to meet all published deadlines to ensure they receive their funds by the tuition payment deadline for each semester. For more information, please review the Booklet of Financial Assistance

January - February
  • The 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available. You may file a new application or renew your application. To file the 2014-2015 FAFSA, click here.
    Title IV Code: 002703 
  • The application for the New York State Tuition Assistance Program is available as soon as the FAFSA has been completed. Click here to apply for the 2014-2015 TAP programs.
    NYS TAP Code: 0130
  • One Stop Shop (Office of Financial Aid and Student Accounts) is available for all students at a TBD location at the beginning of the spring semester.

March

  • FAFSA deadline for New Students is March 15 
  • Fill out the New York State Tuition Assistance Program Application.
  • Award Letter mailing for new students begins
  • Award Letter Self-Service access for continuing students begins
  • New students should attend Accepted Students Day

April

  • To ensure financial aid for summer enrollment, apply for alternative loans at least 6 weeks before the start of your earliest summer class.
  • Submit Federal Loan Subsidized/Unsubsidized Requests. Visit Frequently Used Forms to download the application.
  • Submit FERPA Forms and Authorization of Credit on Account. Visit Frequently Used Forms to download the application.
  • FAFSA Application deadline for Continuing Students is April 15
  • Continuing Students fill out Dolphins Appeal Requests
May - June
  • Apply for the 2014-2015 Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan by filing out the application. For more information and the application, visit Frequently Used Forms.
  • Continuing Students file Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeals.
  • New students attend Orientation.
July
  • Check your bill on Banner Self-Service. Set up monthly payment plan with Tuition Management System (TMS). Click here to access the TMS.
  • Attend Orientation

August

  • Make sure that you are registered for the correct classes.
  • Make sure that you have all you aid including your loans on your account. Before Move-In Day, check Banner Self-Service to make sure you student bill is cleared.

September

  • One Stop Shop (Office of Financial Aid and Student Accounts) is available for all students at a TBD location at the beginning of the spring semester.
October
  • If adding or dropping any classes, check with the Office of Financial Aid to see how your aid will be affected
November-December
  • Registration for the spring semester begins
