Writing Specialist Tutor (part-time)
College of Mount Saint Vincent - Academic Resource Center seeks a part-time Writing Specialist for 15 hours a week. Primary responsibilities include tutoring students one-on-one; conducting workshops and seminars on various aspects of academic writing; providing writing and consultation services on developing instructional materials for peer tutors.. The Writing Specialist will work closely with faculty and peer tutors to enhance writing across the curriculum. Minimum requirements: Master's degree in English, Composition/Rhetoric, TESOL or a related field. Relevant experience in teaching and assessing college students' academic writing abilities. Ability to recognize various learning styles and provide constructive instruction to develop skills. Must be able to work with a diverse student population. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
