The Department of Sociology at the College of Mount Saint Vincent invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor to begin in August 2013. The successful candidate will teach urban sociology and either statistics or ethnography. Other areas of specialization are open, but we will favor candidates with research interests in public policy issues. We are seeking someone who will make use of the New York City experience in his or her teaching, and who will also be dedicated to the professional development and mentoring of undergraduate students.

A Ph.D. in Sociology is required, but urban anthropologists will also be considered.

College of Mount Saint Vincent is a small liberal arts college in New York City, with a 4-4 teaching schedule.
