The College of Mount Saint Vincent is a four-year undergraduate institution on a 70-acre campus of rolling lawns and wooded hills overlooking the Hudson River. The College of Mount Saint Vincent requires all coaches to follow the philosophy and guidelines of the College, NCAA, and the Skyline conference. The Men's Soccer Head Coach reports to the Director of Athletics and is a member of the Student Affairs Division. The Head Coach is expected to perform the following duties in cooperation with the administrative staff. Each particular athletic program falls under the direct guidance and responsibility of its Head Coach, and although some duties are, and may be, delegated by a Head Coach to an assistant, the primary responsibility rests solely with the Head Coach.
Provide leadership and supervision in all aspects of the soccer program including, recruitment, retention, academic support, practice preparation, game strategy, alumni development, fundraising and community servicekm.
 
Expected to recruit student athletes who meet the college's admissions requirements and the number of recruited student athletes will be reviewed annually by the Director of Athletics.Achieve a high level of competence in sport skill instruction, motivation, and conduct of practice sessions under the direction of the Director of Athletics. Demonstrate a sincere interest in the social, emotional, academic development, as well as the athletic welfare of student-athletes.Ensures compliance with all College, Skyline Conference and NCAA rules and regulations related to recruiting and academic monitoring for student-athletes. Collaborates with the SID for the positive promotion of the men's soccer program.
Ensures department and college regulations are understood by and complied with by student athletes and coaching staff.  Work closely with the Athletic Department in any fundraising activities
Develop an annual operating budget and oversee the purchasing distribution and collection of all equipment.Display a commitment to the principles of sportsmanship and ethical conduct as per the NCAA Constitution.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education or related field. Required: Previous successful coaching and playing experience on the College or High School level, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, recruiting experience and knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations as well as a valid tri-state driver's license is required.
