Assistant Director of Campus Ministry
POSITION SUMMARY:
The College of Mount Saint Vincent is seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Assistant Director of Campus Ministry. The Assistant Director will work collaboratively as part of the Campus Ministry team to provide spiritual guidance, religious education, and pastoral presence. The Assistant Director will work to develop service and leadership opportunities for students and to advance a vibrant faith community. Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, those indicated below. The Assistant Director reports directly to the Director of Campus Ministry and is a member of the Division of Student Affairs. Regular evening and weekend work is required. Salary Range: $40,000-$45,000Position available immediately. Screening of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize and develop service and leadership opportunities available to the entire student body
• Empower all students, who are able, to embrace active roles in service and leadership
• Facilitate appropriate reflection components to service engagement including weekly gatherings and overnight retreats
• Manage annual CMSV Day of Service
• Provide guidance to First Year Experience (FYE) instructors and first year students on volunteerism and meaningful service
Advance a vibrant faith community
• Oversee student leadership teams, specifically in liturgy, music and campus consciousness
• Facilitate, in collaboration with others, the RCIA program
• Recruit, train, and assist students in performing the responsibility of Sacristan, including coverage during periods when school is not in session
• Serve as liaison with the Sisters of Charity on Chapel use and other activities when appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:
Bachelor's degree required,
Master's degree preferred in a relevant field of study, i.e. Pastoral Ministry, Theology, Religious Studies
Practicing Catholic in good standing
Firm grasp of Catholic Liturgies, Sacramental Rites, and Services
Flexibility and adaptability
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Social Media
Physical Demands: General office work, ability to navigate a 70 acre campus
