Job Title: Clerical Services Assistant
Department: Clerical Services
Reports to: Clerical Services Office Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sorts incoming and outgoing mail and packages
Sign for mail and packages delivered to the College
Deliver packages to departments campus-wide
Distribute or collect mail as directed by supervisor
Drive intra-campus to deliver packages
Keeps record of registered mail
Sorts and redirects returned mail
Operates high-speed copier and folder machines to process copy orders. Loads or scans documents into computer, and prints out for copying. Follows standards for quality and consistency of finished documents.
Load print and copy machines with paper and toner.
General customer service
Other tasks as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Two years’ experience in mailroom or other related experience.
Strong computer skills; experience with Word, Excel, internet, email, required.
Knowledge of Pitney Bowes postage machine preferred
Experience with Pitney Bowes “Arrivals” software a plus
Familiarity with print shop technology and software highly preferred.
Knowledge of Minolta high speed copier preferred
Customer service experience required.

Must be dependable with strong work habits; able to manage time and priorities and be service oriented.
Articulates information in a way that can be easily understood by employees, students, and suppliers.
Cooperates well with a variety of personalities and individuals and participates in a professional manner to accomplish goals. Willingness to perform tasks assigned by supervisor and to assist others as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds.
LICENSES:
Valid driver’s license
