10/3/2012 - Riverdale, N.Y. – Students, faculty, alumnae/i, administrators, and staff from the College of Mount Saint Vincent will participate in the College’s first Day of Service at various locations on- and off-campus October 20, 2012.

This is the College’s inaugural Day of Service, and is intended to bring the campus community together to participate in meaningful projects that benefit the local Bronx and Yonkers communities. Service is integral to the College’s mission, and the aim of this event is to organize a concerted effort among students, alumnae/i, and staff.

“At the College of Mount Saint Vincent, service isn’t a requirement,” says Director of the Office of Campus Ministry Cecilia Harriendorf, S.C., one of the event’s organizers. “It’s a way of life.  It’s who we are and who we hope our student will become - men and woman of care, concern and service to others.”
