Bacchi, Kolodny Named Second Team All-Skyline Conference

New York, N.Y. – College of Mount Saint Vincent senior Chris Bacchi (Hicksville, N.Y.) and sophomoreTimothy Kolodny (Woodland Hills, Calif.) have earned Second Team All-Skyline Conference honors it has been announced by the league office. Bacchi paced the team in kills in 2012, while Kolodny was the Mount's leader in digs.
Bacchi earned postseason recognition for the third straight season after being a Second Team selection as a sophomore in 2010 and a First Team honoree as a junior following the 2011 campaign.
The 5-11 outside hitter finished the 2012 season as the team's lead in kills with 277 and kills per set with 3.08. He hit .250 overall on the season and was also tied for the team lead with 30 service aces. Bacchi also rounded out the season second on the squad with 180 digs to go along with 20 total blocks.
Bacchi finished the year with a team-high three double-doubles and totaled at least 10 kills in a match on 11 occasions. He posted a career-high 19 winners twice on the season and also recorded 20 digs in a match twice. He was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week on February 6.
Kolodny, who completed his first season with the Dolphins in 2012, rounded out the season with a team-high 241 digs and also paced the team with 2.77 digs per set. Kolodny finished the season with 29 kills, 13 assists, 14 service aces and five total blocks for the Dolphins.
Kolodny lifted double-figures in digs on 11 different occasions in 2012, including five of the final seven matches of the year. He posted a season-high of 20 digs on March 24 against Lehman and finished off the tri-match that included Bard with 38 digs.
Mount Saint Vincent closed out the 2012 season with a 11-16 overall record and a 4-10 mark in Skyline Conference play.
