The CIW Internet Business Associate course prepares students to work effectively in today’s business environment. This course is designed to teach students about the tasks involved in various Web Technology job roles as well as the skills and technologies needed to perform them. Classes will begin Saturday, April 28th and end June 9th from 9-11:30 AM for six weeks on the Riverdale campus. The fee for this course is $495.
The Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program teaches students the skills they need to become a pharmacy tech in a hospital or retail setting. The primary responsibility of Pharmacy Technicians is filling prescriptions and preparing medications for dispensing to patients. This program pairs students with an instructor for one-on-one assistance and may include a 40-hour externship. Classes will be Mondays and Wednesdays beginning on June 4th and ending July 25th from 6-9:30 PM for 8 weeks on the Riverdale campus. The fee for this course is $999.
The Medical Assistant Administration Program is a 50-hour course that covers important background information on the medical assisting profession and interpersonal skills, medical ethics and law, medical terminology, basics of insurance billing and coding, telephone techniques, scheduling appointments, medical records management and management of practice finances. This program is intended to provide students with a well-rounded introduction to medical administration so that they can gain the necessary skills required to either obtain an administrative medical assistant position. This course does not include a national or state certification as part of its overall objectives. Classes will be Tuesday and Thursdays beginning on June 5th and ending July 24th from 6-9:30 PM for 7.5 weeks on the Riverdale campus. The fee for this course is $999.
Medical Coding and Billing are two separate programs relating to the medical payment process. Medical coder trainees will learn how to convert medical services into numerical codes used in billing while medical billing trainees will learn how to use those codes to bill insurance companies and clients accordingly so that medical professionals can get paid. Classes will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays beginning on June 5th and ending August 2nd from 6-9:30 PM for 9 weeks in the Riverdale campus. The fee for the course is $1799.
