My doctoral research was on the chronological development of the daily ceremonials surrounding King Louis XIV of France from 1655 to 1702. My interest is in the court life and ceremonials of Louis XIV, and their relationship to the architecture of Versailles (and other royal chateaux) and their shaping of the political life of Old Regime France. I’m also a knight in a European Order of Chivalry (Capellán Caballero con Mérito in the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George (Order of Chivalry bestowed by HRH the Infante Don Carlos of Borbon-Dos Sicilias, Duke of Calabria).
