Dr. Bocchino’s research interests are the biological control of aphids using hyper parasitoids. His professional affiliations include New York Entomological Societies, Beta Beta Beta and Sigma Xi. He is also a consultant to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Institute.
External Research Support:
Dr. Bocchino received a United States Department of
Education Grant as principal investigator. He
oversaw new equipment supplied to introductory labs and
the mentorship program for retention of freshmen students
in Biology, 2001–2004. He is a three-time recipient
of the Enright Award for Teaching Excellence.
