Why Attend Orientation
Students
During Orientation, you will:
- Meet other new students and start making friends before classes start
- Meet with current student leaders to get the "inside scoop" on life at the Mount.
- Create your fall semester class schedule
- Meet academic support staff.
- Learn about Housing and Residence Life and Commuter Life
- Learn about Dining Services, Campus Security and Safety, student employment and more.
Parents/Guardians
During Orientation, you will:
- Learn about the College’s academic programs and support services.
- Participate in sessions designed specifically for parents to discuss issues relating to your student’s adjustment to college life and what changes to expect.
- Meet other parentsguardians who are going through the same transitions that you are.
- Learn about the responsibilities your student will assume while attending the Mount.
- Learn about campus safety, health services, financial aid, billing, student activities, academic support and dining services.
- Interact with student leaders, faculty and administrative staff to gain a better understanding of life at the Mount.
