New Summer Course! **open to ALL majors**
“China in the Global Economy”
May 25-June 24, 2011

This 3-credit course includes classroom instruction on campus plus a twelve-day study visit to Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. The course examines the economic policies as well as the political, historical and cultural factors that shaped China’s emergence in the global economy.
The study tour includes guided visits to local business companies as well as to historic sites such as the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Bund, and other landmarks.
Cost of the course package:
3-credit CMSV course $ 990
Study visit in China $,393 (includes airfare)
Students must register for INTL 470 – “China in the Global Economy”
Classes at CMSV: Wed and Fri, 9:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m. on May 25, 27 and June 1, 3, 22, 24
Visit in China: June 7-18
