Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Department: Athletics and Recreation
Reports To: Director of Athletics
The Administrative Assistant provides support services to the Department of Athletics and Recreation. Primary responsibility is to serve as administrative assistant to the Director of Athletics and Recreation. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the support systems for the Department of Athletics and Recreation. Provide administrative support to meet the goals and objectives of the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain comprehensive project database, office management; supervision of work-study students; maintain official calendar for the Director of Athletics and the department and manage travel-expense reports; prepare correspondence and other documents; maintain filing system; answer telephone and email inquiries and provide appropriate information and referrals; photocopy and/or scan materials; maintain electronic files; responsible for purchase and distribution of office supplies. Supervise student workers.
Qualifications: Two years of college required, bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of one year of office experience required.
Strong computer, communication and organizational skills required. Experience supervising others is highly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Gmail calendar required.
