Farmingdale State sits atop the poll in 2010 after receiving 99 total points and nine first place nods. In 2010 the Rams will be looking for their fourth straight league title. Following Farmingdale State in the poll is Bard who amassed 88 points and pair of first place tallies.
Finishing off the top half of the conference in the coaches’ poll are Mount Saint Mary in third with 75 points, Purchase in fourth with 67 points, Sage in fifth with 62 points and St. Joseph’s-L.I. in sixth with a total of 58 points.
Rounding out the 11 team conference field for the 2010 season are Old Westbury (57), Maritime (36), the Dolphins (26), NYU-POLY (20) and Yeshiva (17).
Mount Saint Vincent is coming off a 2009 season that saw it finish with a 1-16 overall record and a 1-8 mark in Skyline Conference play. Sarah Colletti (Mansfield, Mass.) led the Mount a season ago with seven points, including a pair of goals.
The 2010 season will get underway on Wednesday evening for the Mount when it travels to Rutgers-Newark. Kick-off for the season opening match is slated for 6:00 p.m.
