Minors in Natural Sciences
MINOR IN BIOCHEMISTRY
Students should complete 18 credits in the department of Chemistry and Biochemistry for the minor. These credits must include the following courses: CHEM 433, 434, 436. A student may not count the same credits towards minors in both Chemistry and Biochemistry.

MINOR IN CHEMISTRY
Students in this program should complete a core requirement of CHEM 101-102, CHEM 319, CHEM 320. In consultation with the Chairperson of the Division of Science, they should select four additional credits of chemistry for a total of 18 credits. Only one semester of organic laboratory may count towards the minor. An additional upper division chemistry course must be used for the other credits.

MINOR IN BIOLOGY
Students who wish to minor in biology must complete a minor’s contract with the Director of the Division of Natural Sciences. Students should design a curriculum that complements their major and their career plans. All 18 credits contracted for a biology minor must have a BIOL prefix. BIOL 101 is part of the core curriculum of the college and cannot be included in the minor contract. Students must attain a minimum grade of C in each course.
