Mount Saint Vincent will open the season with seven straight matches away from Riverdale, including trips to non-conference rivals William Paterson, The Coast Guard Academy, Lehman and New Rochelle. Over that stretch the Mount will also tussle with USMMA-Kings Point at Coast Guard on September 11 and travel to Skyline Conference foe NYU-POLY on September 8.
The home portion of the schedule will begin on September 23 against John Jay and will be the first of three straight days of home contests. The following night the Dolphins will play host to Sage, before welcoming Maritime and Purchase to Riverdale on September 25. After a short trip to Sarah Lawrence on September 27, the Mount will play three more at home, including a tri-match with St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn and Ramapo on October 2.
After hosting Staten Island on October 4, Mount Saint Vincent will hit the road for the remainder of the schedule, playing nine straight matches away from home to close out the regular season. The road swing includes Skyline Conference tri-matches at Farmingdale State and Mount Saint Mary October 9 and 23, respectively and three matches at Stevens on October 16. The road trip also includes a trip to Bard and Medgar Evers.
The Dolphins closed out the 2009 season with a 12-15 overall record and a 4-5 mark in the Skyline Conference, which was good for the fifth seed in the league tournament. The 2010 Skyline Conference Tournament will get underway on November 3 and will conclude with the semifinals and championship on November 6.
