4/21/2006 - Sophomores Nicholas Sens-Castet (Brooklyn, NY/St. John’s Prep) and Garrett Cooke (Wickford, RI/Bishop Hendricken) enjoyed their finest matches of the 2006 season, and freshman Joe Nickerson (Summit, NJ/Hudson Catholic) earned a hard fought victory at sixth singles, but the Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Tennis team lost a 5-4 heartbreaker to Sarah Lawrence College on Friday during a match played at Sarah Lawrence. 4/19/2006 - Sophomore Nicholas Sens-Castet (Brooklyn, NY/St. John’s Prep) played an outstanding match, and senior Chris MacDonald (Farmingdale, NY/Nassau CC) hung tough with one of the best singles players in the Skyline Conference, but the Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Tennis team dropped a 7-0 match to Conference power USMMA-Kings Point during a match played at Kings Point on Wednesday. 4/17/2006 - Sophomores Garret Cooke (Wickford, RI/Bishop Hendricken) and Michael Maurer (Hampton, NH/Winnaconnet HS) were outstanding in singles action, and the Dolphin doubles team of Cooke and Nicholas Sens-Castet (Brooklyn, NY/St. John’s Prep) competed in a thrilling match, but the Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Tennis team fell to 0-7 with a 7-0 loss to Manhattanville College during a match played at Manhattanville on Tuesday. 4/4/2006 - Sophomore Arnold Ross (Wilton, ME/Mount Blue HS) won a spectacular 10-8 match at second singles, and Ross and Chris MacDonald (Farmingdale, NY/Plainedge HS) lost an exciting 8-5 match at first singles as the Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Tennis team lost a competitive 8-1 loss to the Webb Institute during a match played at Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday. MacDonald drops heartbreaker once again; Dolphins now 0-2 in Skyline Conference; host Webb on Tuesday
3/31/2006 - Senior Chris MacDonald (Farmingdale, NY/Plainedge HS) has quickly earned a reputation as one of the peskiest first singles players in the Skyline Conference. Every time he takes the court, he seems to push his opponent to the limit. And as the Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Tennis team continues to build, it is MacDonald who will lead the way with his fine play. Unfortunately for MacDonald, despite his outstanding play, he has yet to win a singles match this season. His latest fine performance came on Friday when he lost a 6-3, 7-6 thriller at first singles when Mount Saint Vincent dropped its third straight match, 7-0 to the Blue Knights. More...

3/28/2006 - Senior Chris MacDonald (Farmingdale, NY/Plainedge HS) lost an incredible match at first singles, 10-9 after a 7-2 loss in the tie-breaker, and the Dolphins were victorious at sixth singles and third doubles, but the Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Tennis team lost its second straight match, 7-2 to Pratt during a match contested at Pratt. MacDonald loses thriller at first singles; Dolphins travel to Pratt on Tuesday
3/25/2006 - The first Men’s Tennis match in nearly two years at the College of Mount Saint Vincent proved to be a disappointment on Saturday afternoon as the Mount was swept by Yeshiva 9-0 during their 2006 season opener. Despite the loss, the Dolphins proved to be competitive during their first match after a one-year hiatus, and optimism is high that the 2006 season will prove to be nothing short of a success. Former Marist Assistant to restart Tennis programs at the Mount
7/27/2005 - Mount Saint Vincent Director of Athletics, Cathy Ingram, has announced the hiring of Frank Fanning as Head Men’s and Women’s Coach. Fanning, a 1994 graduate of North Carolina State – Raleigh, will restart the Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs at the Mount as the teams did not compete during the 2004-05 academic year, but will once again be varsity programs during the upcoming academic year.
