 Brian Dunleavy comes to Mount Saint Vincent for his first season as Head Men's Soccer Coach. He joins the Dolphins after a playing and coaching career at Division I Hofstra.

Following his four year playing career with the Pride, Dunleavy assumed an assistant coaching role and helped Hofstra to Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances in 2004 and 2005. During the 2004 campaign the Pride advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after defeating Seton Hall in the first round. At the end of the regular season in 2005, Hofstra was ranked 13th in the NSCAA Poll.

While at Hofstra, Dunleavy was responsible for both administrative tasks and on field coaching. Dunleavy also assisted in team travel and meals for away trips and aided in community outreach programs as well as with fund raising efforts with alumni and the community. Dunleavy also oversaw the academic progress of approximately 25 student-athletes by overseeing weekly study halls.

On the field, he assisted the head coach with the organization and execution of practice sessions. Dunleavy also organized game day video for the team and was compliant with all NCAA Division I Rules and Regulations.

Starting in September of 2007, Dunleavy has served as a youth coach at the Long Island Rough Riders Youth Soccer Academy. In that capacity, he has designed a curriculum that ensures the proper development of youth soccer players and organizes and coaches practice sessions for over 100 area youths.

Dunleavy graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in English and American Literature from the Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

A native of Levittown, NY, Dunleavy currently resides in Riverdale.
