to the IWLCA All-Boardwalk Region Second Team it was announced on Thursday evening. Mitchell, who was second on the team in goals, assists and points, was one of 224 student-athletes honored across seven national regions.

 

Mitchell finished the season for Mount Saint Vincent with 40 markers to go along with 17 assists for a total of 57 points. She also picked up 34 groundballs which was second on the team and won a team-high 44 draw controls. She also led the Dolphins in 2010 with 16 caused turnovers.

 

Mitchell scored at least one goal in all 12 games she played in and tallied at least five goals in a game three times, including a six goal game at Bard on March 31. She also recorded an assist in all but three games in 2010 and handed out three helpers in a game three times. Her season-high in points came in the game at Bard when Mitchell added three assists to her six markers for a nine point effort. She also netted four of the Mount’s six game winning goals this past season.

 

Through three seasons at Mount Saint Vincent, Mitchell has scored 98 goals and handed out 45 assists for 143 points. She has also picked up 132 groundballs and won 166 draw controls.

 

The Dolphins advanced to their fourth straight Skyline Conference Tournament in 2010 after posting a 6-6 overall record and a 5-3 mark in league play.
