Skyline Conference on Monday afternoon with All-League honors. Sophomore Marni O’Shea (White Plains, N.Y.) was named First Team All-Skyline Conference, while sister Lisa O’Shea (White Plains, N.Y.) was honored with Second Team All-League accolades.

 

Marni O’Shea finished the season as the Dolphins top hitter after posting a .471 batting average. She led the team on the season in overall hits with 41, doubles with seven and tied for tops on the squad in RBI with 19 and runs with 20. Her mark of 51 total bases was good for second on the team in 2010 and was also second in slugging percentage at a .586 clip.

 

Over the course of the season Marni O’Shea led the team with 11 multiple hit contests, including a five hit game in game one against St. Joseph’s-L.I. She also posted five multiple RBI games for the Dolphins. 2010 is the second straight season she has been named All-League.

 

Lisa O’Shea closed out her career by hitting .398 for the Dolphins covering 30 games played. She paced the Dolphins in home runs with five and tied for the team lead with 19 RBI and 20 runs scored. Lisa O’Shea also collected five doubles in 2010 and led the team in total bases with 55 and slugging percentage with a mark of .625.

 

The senior centerfielder finished the campaign with nine multi hit games in 2010, including seven two hit games. She also drove in multiple runs in a team-high six contests, including a four RBI game against Sarah Lawrence on April 8. Monday’s selection to the second team marks the fourth straight season that Lisa O’Shea earned postseason All-Skyline Conference recognition.

 

Mount Saint Vincent closed the 2010 season on April 24 with a split against St. Joseph’s-L.I.. The Dolphins finished the season with an overall record of 11-21.
