The Golden Eagles opened the game up with four more runs in the fifth inning. Paul Marino ripped a bases loaded double in the inning to drive in three runs. The Mount would slice its deficit to the final four runs in the seventh when it scored four runs on only one hit. Joe Blackford (Setwartsville, N.J.) was driven in by Pope who grounded out to first and the Mount went on to plate three unearned runs.
Thaman had another big game for St. Joseph’s after going 2-for-4 with three RBI. Dennis Nover and Seth Pileggi each scored two runs for the Golden Eagles.
