baseball program's fourth weekly
award of the season on Monday.

named the Skyline Conference Baseball Player of the Week it was announced by the league on Monday evening. It marks the fourth time that a Mount Saint Vincent player has been honored by the conference this season.

 

Pope helped the Dolphins to a 4-2 week overall and a 3-1 week against league opponents by hitting .450. Pope collected at least one hit in four of the six games for the Dolphins, including going 6-for-6 with three runs and four RBI over a doubleheader against Yeshiva on Sunday afternoon.

 

In a 20-4 rout of John Jay in a midweek non-league game, Pope collected two hits and four RBI for the Dolphins. Overall for the week, Pope went 9-for-20 at the plate with five doubles, four runs scored and 10 RBI. He also drew nine walks for the Mount and went a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen base chances.  

 

The four wins in six games last week improved Mount Saint Vincent to 13-14 overall on the season and to 6-4 in the Skyline Conference. The Dolphins will be back on the diamond again Tuesday afternoon when they travel to Division II Mercy. First pitch is slated for 3:30 p.m.
