Coogan continued to swing a hot bat for Mount Saint Vincent, as he hit .500 over five games last week. Coogan collected at least two hits in four of the five games, including a 3-for-4 night against Baruch on Thursday. He also scored a run and drove in a pair against the Bearcats.
Coogan also collected four doubles on the week, hitting one in each game except the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader with Mount Saint Mary. After collecting a hit in the backend of the set with the Blue Knights he extended his hitting streak to 11 games. Overall on the week he went 10-for-20 at the plate with five runs scored and five RBI. He also drew a walk for the Dolphins.
Mount Saint Vincent stands at 9-12 overall on the season and 3-3 in Skyline Conference play. Coogan and the Dolphins will be back in action again on Wednesday night when they travel to Lehman. First pitch with the Lightning is set for 7:00 p.m.
