been named the Skyline Conference Baseball Player of the Week it was announced by the league office on Monday evening. Monday’s honor marks the first weekly award for McManus in his career.

 

McManus continued his strong season at the plate for Mount Saint Vincent by hitting .450 in seven games for the Dolphins. He picked up at least one hit in all but one game and finished the week with three extra base hits with a double and two home runs. In the first game of the Mount’s doubleheader at Purchase on Sunday he went 3-4 with two RBI and followed that up with a two run home run in game two of the set. For the week he went 9-for-20 at the plate with six runs scored and seven RBI. He also drew two walks and swiped a base. 

 

Mount Saint Vincent has won three of its last four contests and stands at 7-9 overall on the season and 2-0 in Skyline Conference play. Weather permitting the Dolphins will be back in action again on Tuesday when they travel to New Jersey City University. First pitch with the Gothic Knights is set for 3:30 p.m.
