Strengthening the Bonds of Community
Mount to hold Community Leaders Reception
3/21/2010 - On March 25, 2010, the College of Mount Saint Vincent will host the Community Leaders Reception, an event celebrated jointly with neighbor Manhattan College, each year. Among the many distinguished guests will be Councilman Oliver Koppell; members of Community Board 8; Sister Dorothy Metz, President of the Sisters of Charity; and representatives from the office of Governor Paterson and the Bronx District Attorney. Attended by local politicians, school, community, and religious leaders, the event is a means for the College to celebrate the strong bonds with the community in which it has been an institution of higher learning for over a century and a half.

The event will take place in Smith Hall in the Administration Building on the College campus from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.  Mount Saint Vincent is dedicated to excellent academic preparation in the liberal arts and professions and to the education of the whole person. To that end, it must engage the entire community; legislators, educators and spiritual leaders. The Reception is a way of expressing appreciation to those who have helped make the College the leading institution that it is.

Members of the media are invited to attend.  Please contact Karen Ford for more information: karen.ford@mountsaintvincent.edu, or call 718-405-3345.
