Clifton Park, N.Y. – College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Lacrosse player Dan Cohen (Ardsley, N.Y.)

Dan Cohen has helped the Mount to the best start in program history.

has been named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week it was announced by the league office on Monday evening. It is the first career honor for Cohen.

 

Cohen opened his collegiate career over the weekend by totaling 10 points on eight goals and two assists in a pair of wins for Mount Saint Vincent. He netted three goals in a 9-8 overtime win over Cobleskill on Saturday and then added five tallies in a 10-4 win over the Monks from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine on Sunday. For the week he also picked up 12 groundballs, including seven against Cobleskill.

 

The two straight wins to open the season for the Dolphins marks the best start in the program’s six year history. At 2-0 the Mount will be back in action again on Thursday night when it hosts Centenary (N.J.). Face-off with the Cyclones at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers is set for 7:00 p.m.
