Heesemann, Percodani Named First Team All-Skyline Conference

her career on Monday.

After helping the Dolphins to 18 wins to date and their fourth trip to the Skyline Conference Semifinals, Courtney Heesemann (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) and Lauren Percodani (Staten Island, N.Y.) were named First Team All-Skyline Conference.

 

This marks the third straight season that Percodani has earned the First Team recognition from the conference. The 5-4 point guard has had a strong all-around season for Mount Saint Vincent in which she is fourth on the team in scoring at 10.1 points per game. She is also averaging 4.1 rebounds per game and just under six assists per contest. She has played and started each of the Mount’s 27 games this season.

 

Through the Skyline Conference Tournament Semifinals, Percodani has scored in double-figures on 13 occasions including a career-high 26 point effort against NYU-POLY in the Skyline Quarterfinals. She has posted two double-doubles on the season with both coming with points and assists. Overall she is shooting 43.7-percent from the floor and holds an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.8. She netted her 1,000th career point on February 15 against the City College of New York.

 

Heesemann had a consistent season for the Dolphins that saw her score a team-high 359 points in 27 starts. She ranks second on the team in scoring average at 13.3 points per game and is the team leader in rebounding at 11.0 per night. Heesemann has also swiped 47 steals and blocked 26 shots for the Mount this season. This is Heesemann’s fourth postseason honor from the league, but the first time she has been named First Team All-League. 

 

Through Saturday’s Skyline Conference Semifinal, Heesemann has recorded a career-high 12 double-doubles, which include five 20 point, 10 rebound efforts. She pulled down a career-high 21 rebounds in the third game of the season against Lehman and has reached double-figures in the category 14 times. In her senior campaign Heesemann has reached career marks of 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds.

 

With an 18-9 overall record on the season Mount Saint Vincent has earned its third straight bid to the ECAC Metro Division Tournament. The Dolphins will open tournament play on Wednesday, March 3 at Drew. Tip-off is 7:00 p.m.
