Courtney Heesemann earned her third career Skyline weekly award on Monday.
Clifton Park, N.Y. – College of Mount Saint Vincent senior forward/center Courtney Heesemann (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) has been named the Skyline Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week it was announced on Monday afternoon. Monday’s award if the third weekly honor that Heesemann has received in her career.

Heesemann had a strong week for the Dolphins, averaging a double-double over three games. She scored at least 14 points in all three contests and finished with no fewer then nine rebounds in each tilt. For the week she averaged 17.0 points and 10.3 rebounds. She shot 71-percent (22-31) from the floor on the week, including 9-11 shooting against Curry on Sunday. In that contest she finished with 21 points and a game-high 13 rebounds as the Mount cruised to an 89-57 win. For the week she also went 7-11 from the free-throw line and was good for 1.3 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals per game.

The Dolphins closed out the first semester with a 5-4 overall record and stand at 2-1 in league play. Mount Saint Vincent will be off until January 5 when it hosts Sage for just its second home game of the season. Tip-off with the Gators at the Peter Jay Sharp Center is set for 7:00 p.m.
