Carson Miller Earns Second Skyline Rookie Of The Week Award
Freshman center averaged 14.0 points over two games

Carson Miller was named Rookie of the Week for the second time this season on Monday.
Clifton Park, N.Y. – College of Mount Saint Vincent freshman Carson Miller (New Oxford, Pa.) has been named the Skyline Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week for the second time this season it was announced on Monday evening. It marks the third time in fives weeks a Dolphin has earned the honor.

Miller had a strong all around week for the Dolphins who went 1-1 over two games. He scored in double figures in both contests and averaged 14.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game for the Mount. Against Staten Island on Monday he shot 5-6 from the floor on his way to 12 points and also pulled down six boards.

He followed that up with a game-high 16 points on 6-9 shooting against Old Westbury. He also blocked two shots and grabbed four rebounds against the Panthers. Overall for the week he shot 73.3-percent from the field (11-15) and 75-percent from the free-throw line (6-8). He also totaled an assist and four blocks. 

After the split last week Mount Saint Vincent stands at 4-2 overall on the season and 1-2 in league play. Next up for the Dolphins is a trip to West Point, N.Y. to tangle with Division I Army on December 19. Tip-off with the Black Knights is slated for 4:00 p.m.
