Rob Hockenjos totaled 231 kills for the Dolphins in 2009.

Riverdale, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Department of Athletics announced the 2010 Men’s Volleyball match schedule on Thursday afternoon. The slate features nine home matches, beginning with the season opener on January 23 against York (N.Y.).

After opening the season at home, Mount Saint Vincent will play five matches on the road, including four in the inaugural Charlie Wrublewski Tournament hosted by Mount Saint Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio. While in the Buckeye State the Dolphins will square of with Siena Heights (Mich.), St. Xavier University (Ill.), Milwaukee School of Engineering (Wis.) and host Mount Saint Joseph.

Upon returning from the Midwest the Mount will host Stevens and Ramapo in Northeast Collegiate Volleyball Association action on February 1 and 4. After the mini two game home stand, the Dolphins will embark on another long road trip, playing at Bard, Yeshiva and Sage.

After that stretch of road games the Mount will host Bard and Vassar before traveling to Purchase and New Jersey City University. Following the contest with the Gothic Knights Mount Saint Vincent will have an extended home stand which will consist of four matches from February 27 – March 4. The Dolphins will host Lehman, Stevenson, Purchase and Yeshiva over that period.

The Yeshiva match will serve as senior day as the Mount will conclude the regular season on the road. The Dolphins will play in the MIT Tournament on March 6 and 7 before traveling to Hunter and New Paltz to close out the regular season. The Skyline Championship will be held on March 21 at the highest seed following regular season play.

Mount Saint Vincent won its first ever Skyline Conference Championship last season after defeating 2008 champion Bard 3-2 in the final. The Dolphins finished the 2009 campaign with 15-14 overall record, a 4-5 mark in NECVA Metro play and a perfect 8-0 record against Skyline opponents.
