In three games last week Cunningham averaged 10.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 steals for the Dolphins who went 2-1. He set a new career scoring high in each of the three games, including a 15 point performance in which he hit the game winning basket with five seconds left at NYU to give the Mount a one point victory. He also scored in double-figures at Mount Saint Mary with 10 points.
At NYU Cunningham went 6-14 from the floor and handed out a career best five assists. For the week he shot 42.9-percent from the field and 33.3-percent from three point range. He also totaled nine assists and four steals over the three game stretch.
The win at NYU on Saturday pushed Mount Saint Vincent to 3-1 overall on the season. The Dolphins will be back on the floor Monday night at the Sharp Center when they host the College of Staten Island. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
