Karissa Koerner averaged 14.5 points over two games at the NYU Tip-Off Tournament.

New York, N.Y. – After scoring 29 points in two games, senior Karissa Koerner (Bay Shore, N.Y.) was named to the NYU Tip-Off All-Tournament Team it was announced late Saturday. Koerner led all players with 20 points in Mount Saint Vincent’s 68-64 win over Lehman in the consolation game of the event.

In a 59-49 loss to #19/23 New York University on Friday, the senior guard finished with nine points on 3-8 shooting and six rebounds for the Dolphins. She also went 2-3 from the free throw line and handed out an assist.

On Saturday against Lehman, Koerner knocked down six three pointer field goals on her way to the game-high 20 points. She also grabbed four rebounds and swiped four steals for the Mount in the winning effort. For the tournament she averaged 14.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.

The Dolphins finished a three games in three nights stretch to open the 2009-10 season with a 2-1 record. Mount Saint Vincent will open Skyline Conference play on December 1 when it travels to Yeshiva. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
