The Dolphins dropped to 2-3 overall following Friday's loss at Kings Point.

Kings Point, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women’s Swimming team was defeated on Friday evening by a score of 117-67 at USMMA-Kings Point. Sophomore Amanda Costa (River Edge, N.J.) paced the Dolphins with two individual second place finishes at the meet.

Costa took second in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 29.40 seconds and also placed second in the 500-yard freestyle, touching out in a time of 6:38.87. The sophomore was also a part of the 200-yard free relay that finished in the second position to close the meet.

The Dolphins took eight second place finishes in the meet, including both relay events. Carissa O’Leary (Brookfield, Conn.) took second in the 200-yard individual medley and Danielle Murphy (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Michelle Cabahug (Queens Village, N.Y.) placed second in the 100 free and 100 back respectively.

The loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 2-3 overall on the season. The Dolphins will be back in the pool again on Friday, December 4 when they travel to Hunter. The non-conference meet is set for 6:00 p.m.
