| Sophomore Renee Reynes has been named Second Team All-Skyline Conference it was announced on Monday. |
Reynes appeared in 73 sets in 2009 for Mount Saint Vincent and finished with 15 kills and 27 assists. The 5-2 sophomore also finished tied for third on the team with 27 service aces. She posted a career-high four winners on October 1 against William Paterson and also finished that match with a career-best five assists.
Reynes was the team leader with 471 defensive digs on the season and her per set average of 6.46 placed her in the top-10 nationally in 2009. She posted at least ten digs in a match in 20 of the 22 contests she appeared in and finished with a least 20 digs on 12 occasions. Reynes posted 30-plus digs four times in 2009, including a season-high 35 on October 10 against league rival Bard.
Over the first two years of her career Reynes has lifted 863 digs in 143 sets for a per set average of 6.03. Her career-high in the category came in her freshman campaign against Purchase when she finished with 55.
The Dolphins appeared in the Skyline Conference Tournament this season for the first time since 2007, but were downed by Mount Saint Mary in the quarterfinal round. Mount Saint Vincent closed the season with a 12-15 overall record and a 4-5 mark against Skyline Conferene opponents.
