| Navin Purushotham paced the Dolphins to a sixth place team finish on Sunday. |
Purushotham had a strong run for the Dolphins, completing the challenging 8K course at Van Cortlandt Park in a time of 31:13.50. He was followed by Andrew Giordano (Staten Island, N.Y.) in the 38th position overall in a time of 32:33.20 and Mahabir Samuel (Bronx, N.Y.) in 42nd place in 33:44.30. Steven Oliver (Brooklyn, N.Y.) crossed the finish line in 51st place overall in 35:41.20 and Michael Coverdale (Yonkers, N.Y.) rounded out the Mount Saint Vincent field, finishing in 58th place in a time of 38:21. 10.
Kiernan was the top women’s finisher for the women’s for the Mount on the 5K course on Sunday. She crossed the finish line in 23rd place overall and posted a time of 23:34.40. Ana Garcia (Kingwood, N.J.) placed 38th overall for the Dolphins in a time of 25:12.80 and she was followed closely by Megan Brady (Washingtonville, N.Y.) in 39th place with a time of 25:21.40. Mount Saint Vincent’s fourth finisher was rookie Janine Boccafola (Wading River, N.Y.) in 48th place with a time of 26:18.60.
Individually, Aaron Ahlstrom of Bard won the men’s race on Sunday in a time of 28:00.20, while Kerry Tobin from St. Joseph’s-L.I. paced the women’s field in a time of 21:03.00. Farmingdale State won the men’s team championship with 34 points and Bard took the women’s title with a total of 25 points.
